Started by Midnight Squadron in 2012, the 24 Hour Gameathon is a charity marathon where gamers from several gaming communities get together for the sake of raising money by playing games. For three years, the Gameathon has worked with a single charity and a single event  each year.

In 2015, the 24 Hour Gameathon is branching out and will begin working with multiple charities and doing two events a year.

In the Spring, we will be holding an event in support of a military charity by the name of Operation Supply Drop, or OSD for short.  OSD is a military gaming charity designed to build video game filled care packages for soldiers (America and Her Allies) both deployed forward to combat zones as well as those recovering in military hospitals.

In the Fall, we will hold true to tradition and hold our event in support of Child’s Play. Child’s Play is a game industry charity that has been improving the lives of children with toys and games in a network of 70 hospitals worldwide. Child’s Play purchases consoles, peripherals, games and more for hospitals and therapy facilities to provide much needed cheer and joyful distractions to children.
